NORTH CHICAGO – The Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center announced it has hired 489 employees to care for veterans, military members and their families, as well as nonveterans, in the North Chicago area during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Since March 29, Lovell FHCC has filled a number of positions during the pandemic, including nurses, physicians and medical support personnel, as well as housekeepers and food service workers.
Lovell FHCC currently has opportunities in all areas in the facility, including nurses, medical support personnel and social workers.
Two Lovell FHCC employees volunteered to deploy through the Disaster Emergency Management Personnel System to provide care to veterans and nonveterans in Charlotte, North Carolina, and Richmond, Virginia.
