BEACH PARK – Police are investigating an incident June 4 in which a stolen vehicle crashed into a home on North Sheridan Road, authorities said.

About 2:50 a.m. June 4, Lake County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the 37600 block of North Sheridan Road for a report of a vehicle that struck a house, causing major damage, according to a news release.

Police said a 2008 Chevrolet Impala was traveling south on Sheridan Road when the driver lost control and struck the front of the house. Inside the car was an 18-year-old Zion man, a 16-year-old Zion boy and a 14-year-old Beach Park boy.

No one inside the home was injured. One of the occupants of the Impala was able to escape from the vehicle, but the two others were trapped and had to be freed by firefighters, police said. The three were taken to Vista East Medical Center in Waukegan with injuries that were not life-threatening, police said.

Kenosha Police Department responded to the scene to process the vehicle for evidence.

The crash remains under investigation, and criminal charges are pending, police said.
