WARREN TOWNSHIP – Two adults and two juveniles have been arrested in connection with a series of car burglaries in Warren Township, police said.
During the overnight hours from Oct. 29 to Oct. 30, 18 burglaries to vehicles were reported in the Grandwood Park area (Warren Township), according to a news release.
During the investigation, sheriff’s deputies learned the suspects in the car burglaries were staying at a motel in the 600 block of North Green Bay Road in Waukegan. Deputies and detectives located a vehicle used by the suspects in the motel parking lot, according to the release. After conducting surveillance at the motel, two adults and two juveniles were taken into custody the afternoon of Oct. 30. They were found to be in possession of proceeds stolen during the vehicle burglaries, police said.
Jevon D. Anderson, 18, of the 11100 block of South Homewood Avenue, Chicago, was charged with aggravated identity theft, identity theft and receiving lost/mislaid credit cards. He was being held in the Lake County Jail on $20,000 bail.
Kevion A. Minor, 20, of the 400 block of East 90th Street, Chicago, was charged with aggravated identity theft, identity theft, receiving lost/mislaid credit cards and theft. He was being held in the Lake County Jail on $25,000 bail.
Charges are pending against the two juveniles taken into custody, according to the release.
