GRAYSLAKE – The 90th annual Lake County Fair will return July 25 through 29 at the Lake County Fairgrounds & Event Center, 1060 E. Peterson Road.
Entertainment tops the lineup of new and traditional events. Bella Cain kicks off musical acts from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. July 26 with 7th Heaven on July 27 and American English on July 28, both from 9 to 11 p.m.
New for 2018 is Timberworks Lumberjack Show and family activities presented by the Illinois National Guard. Returning favorites include truck-and-tractor pulls, demolition derby and monster truck shows in the Grandstand area, carnival rides for all ages, community competitions for blue ribbons, as well as 4-H exhibitions, Antique Tractor Parade and an expanded selection of fair foods.
The Lake County Fair is sponsored by Snap-on and Medici Landscaping Inc. The fair is open from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. July 25 and 26, from 10 a.m. to midnight July 27 and 28 and from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. July 29. Main gate ticket sales open at 8 a.m. daily. Ticket prices vary.
