Power outage at Waukegan HS: students to be dismised early

Due to a power outage, caused by an issue with a Commonwealth Edison transformer, Waukegan High School's Washington Campus will be released early today, Feb. 27

The power outage has affected a large portion of the area surrounding the Washington Campus. Officials from the electric company estimate it will be two hours before power is restored. Due to the lack of power, the entire Washington Campus was scheduled to be dismissed at 12:45 p.m.

District officials are working with the PACE bus company to provide students transportation home on their regular bus routes. Students from Washington Campus will not be allowed into any other District 60 buildings during the rest of the school day.
