What not to wear when you're over the hill

According to a survey taken by Nurture Replenish Skincare, "Women age 59 and up should not wear high heels, red lipstick, or tight clothes."

Now that I’m 59 (and up), when I read the survey results a while back I didn’t see high heels as a problem, particularly  because the only ones I owned were sensible podiatrist-mandated models with one-and-a-half-inch chunky heels.

Rarely did those classy shoes make it off my closet shelf, but last week my husband and I attended a band concert in which our preteen granddaughter participated. It was held at her school’s gym, and I considered it an occasion worthy of orthopedic high-heeled footwear. We don’t get out much.
