Pierce Florist celebrates 80 years of flower giving
WAUKEGAN – Wendy Kaye Walker was just 28 when she became the owner of Pierce Florist Flowers, Fine Art, Gifts and More in Waukegan about six years ago.
“While my friends were out having fun I was working,” Walker said. But the 34-year-old Waukegan resident has no regrets. In fact, as her business blossoms in it’s nearly one-year-old location – at 106 S. Genesee St. – it also celebrates 80 years of spreading the joy of flowers.
“I’m living my dream,” Walker said.
