Theater director vision: Life in the 21st century
WAUKEGAN – Madelyn Sergel’s mother was an actor, her father a play publisher and editor, and she followed by becoming an actor.
“I had some success,” said the Gurnee resident. “But it was never a perfect fit.”
So, at age 30, she retired from the theater life, got married and raised a family, including a son with special needs.
