Discrimination denied by Lake County Fair Association

After what Kelli Kepler-Yarc, the president of the Lake County Fair Association's board of directors called a careful review and consideration, the religious organizations, Peter's Net and the Lake County Right to Life will indeed be able to apply for a booth in this year's Lake County Fair.

The board was contacted  June 26, via letter, by the national public interest law firm, the Thomas More Society, asking that a reason be given, in writing, as to why the two groups were originally denied a booth application by fair sales and events manager, Kathleen Van Dien last month.

According to the letter sent by the Thomas More Society, complaints of a prenatal development display that has been used in the Lake County Right to Life booth at the fair for the past 37 years was the reason Van Dien gave the group for the denial of an application for this year's fair.
