Fiber fair ties together variety of folk arts
GRAYSLAKE – When Carol Cassidy-Fayer was a child she received a gift that would last a lifetime. Her grandmother taught her how to knit when was 7 years old.
“My grandmother couldn’t get me to sit down any other way,” laughed the Grayslake High School alumna and Crystal Lake resident.
Cassidy-Fayer said her love of knitting and the fiber arts community led her to found the Midwest Fiber and Folk Art Fair in 2007.
